Diabetes in Check: Blood Glucose & Carb Tracker App Reviews

105 add

Need canadian vers.

Hi, i downloaded this and liked it, but does not have the option of the glucose mmol/m

It WAS really good - now Im leaving

It WAS terrific – the colorful bar graphs were motivating and I was able to add foods, etc. But often when I opened it, it would crash. For a while that was OK – but then it started losing information: first that days info - and then previous days. Now – even have to re-installation, it keeps on not holding onto any information. Therefore: its virtually useless. Too bad - I lost a great deal and was motivated to open and use the app!

Helping me so much!!!

Just looking for an app to help me keep on track, I am newly diagnosed and want to be able to come off the meds!! Hope this app will help me do that!

crashes!

It has everything I need except it crashes all the time! Try putting in a new food and it doesnt stay up long enough to add it because it crashes! Havent been able to enter anything for a day!

Crashes frequently

I find this app crashes almost every time I close it. Then I have to re- input my data! Very distressing and time consuming.

Best app out there & creators refuse to maintain it

Update 6/9/2016 Was excited to see an update for this app, spent some time doing a sync, entered my data in for today & went back in tonight to put my final glucose reading in, sure enough all of the entries made for the day up until this evening entry had disappeared. Im telling you, this is THE APP that diabetics need but it has never worked correctly in the 13 months I have used it. Thought the new update had actually worked since it didnt crash mid-entry. But no, it waited until I signed out & signed back in to lose the data. This is SO FRUSTRATING for me, this app is what I need to stay in control and to see what foods are affecting my blood glucose but you dont give us an app that works. WHY NOT? I started using this app one year ago, incredible app w all of the info a person new to diabetes needs. Wrote 2 reviews back then that it constantly crashed and lost data. We need that data for our doctors. Sure enough, I go back in today after many months away and I see new reviews that read exactly the same. Constant crashes and lost data. Best app for whats needed, but worst app Ive EVER seen for crashes and data loss. A real shame too.

Update successful on June 9th for me!!

So far, so good! I had written a review days ago with similiar complaints others were having; when to my surprise I received an email from support! They asked me for detailed info which I complied with, to help them diagnose the problem-even sent them a screen shot from my iphone. He replied to my email-and it worked. I see on here that he did indeed update the app. Basically, he had me uninstall the app (yes, I was afraid all the data that I had documented into the app would be gone forever!) But he assured me that when I downloaded it again that all my info would be there since it was associated with my email addressed and backed up. He was right-one problem that I noticed from the beginning was that before when I first would open the app it always crashed and froze and I would need to go into the app a second time. Now it loads the first time! My info was still there-thank God! As a new diagnosed diabetic this app was invaluable to my managing this disease so I really depend on it. As another reviewer noted we use the app to provide documentation to our physician and certified diabetes educator as well as for ourselves! Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter-Dave from support-my hat off to you!! This is a terrific app and is a huge help to diabetics everywhere!!!!!

Good, could be better

Crashing issue seems to be improving. Food database seems to be very regionally focused. I live in Philadelphia area and have never heard of most of the brands listed. Other weight control apps allow you to create your own recipes and dishes which saves you from having to enter individual ingredients every time you eat your favorite foods. Something like that would be a good idea here.

Great help

Has every thing that I need to help me track and control my blood sugar. Love the app

Good App for "Disciplined" Diabetes Management!

Ive had this application for over a year and it has guided me to a more focused and deliberate diabetes care plan. Its easy to use, the recipes are tasty and Im doing a good job managing my mg/dl on a daily basis. ~ my thanks to the developers CDW (WP 2016)

Dont Bother With This One!

I have recently started using this to keep tabs on my blood sugar readings and nutrition, however, after taking the time to enter every single morsel that touches my lips, I go back later to put in my final meal of the day...and all my other entries have somehow disappeared! I am so tired of entering my meals 2 or 3 times (each) only to have them disappear! Also, the items I scan in seem to disappear as well. I would also like to be able to go back more than one week at a time to see how my readings have progressed (also so I can show my Dr). Would help if we got notification that a new week is starting so I could take a screenshot of my results for the week. Kinda stinks that you can only see the current week.

Very good useful app

This app is very useful giving me reminders to record my blood sugar recommending recipes to try. Logging only my blood sugar but weight, taking meds averaging my sugar levels so I can print out for my doctor at our visits. You wont be disappointed using this app.

Cant reset password no consistency with measurements

It is impossible to reset your password. There is absolutely no consistency with measurements. They vary from items, to serving to ounces to cups and back again. You will find yourself converting and or guessing just to complete each meal. It is ridiculous.

Great idea

I like the app a lot. There is just not a lot of food in database. I keep having to log in myself or go into another app to look for it. So I am using 2 apps

Worked for a short time

Well it was great while it lasted but every time I log food or exercise it disappears - so guess this app is busted. Worked for two weeks and then I erased it

Works now- was shutting off unexpectedly

The last update appeared to fix the shutdown I was seeing. Tracking bs reading is working

Not saving entries

Ive been having a lot of trouble getting the information I enter saved.

Diabetes Care

Great Big Help! Keeping all things in order with commutication of support

Awful

Worked for about a week. Constantly erases information entered for food and exercise. I could keep a list on paper of my glucose readings if thats all I wanted. Wish there was a less than one star rating.

Wont bother again

Crashes randomly (even on 1st startup). Food database lacking (have had to put every food in manually so far). Tells me under about that a serving of protein is 6 ounces and I should eat 3 serving - that equals 18 ounces of protein. At 7 gr per ounce, thats about 126 gr for my weight. Should be around 0.8 gr per kg of body weight. For me, thats about 73 gr and Im not Arnold Schwarzenegger so I cant see me doing 126 gr. And how do I fit that on 1/4 of a 7" plate? Just too many things wrong....ill go back to myfitnesspal.com.
