Diabetes in Check: Blood Glucose & Carb Tracker App Reviews

Not for Canadians

Needs to be for Canadians as well. Blood sugar doesnt show mmol.

Needs a setting option

Great app but needs an option in the settings for recording blood glucose levels. My meter measures in mmol/L. To use it, I have to go online and convert.

Good only in USA

There is no option in the settings for mmol/L. mg/dl is used only in the States. Useless in Canada. There are better blood glucose monitoring apps available. Deleting this one.

Canadian

Can you make this available in mmol. For Canadians

Best Ive found so far, but...

Love the clean layout and that it focuses just on the right amount of details needed for tracking blood sugar, exercise and diet. But it does have drawbacks. One strike against it is that it does not allow measures in mmol/L, which is important for diabetics outside the US. A bigger problem is that the apps database is wonky. At times, meal records will disappear or entries will appear in duplicate. Would love to see blood pressure data added at some point. Just a tiny bit more TLC from the developer could help make this a five-star app.

Great App!

Im Canadian and I still find this app very useful. I log all my info on here, and am motivated to do better and keep an eye on things more closely. Extremely helpful!

In Check

This a pretty good app. Keeps me in control of everything from meds to dietary intake & exercise. Recommend this to any diabetic person.

Does not allow for mmol/l

I downloaded this app but deleted it because: 1. BG measurements are in mg/do with no option for mmol/l for Canadian or UK users. 2. I prefer to have less carbs at lunch and more at dinner and cannot adjust.

Almost there!

Great app and compares favourably to other Diabetes apps, but as others have mentioned, an option for mmol/l would be a plus, and I think $3.99 a week for meal plans is a bit rich. Now to get rid of the annoying ads...

Barcode reader

This program has a large amount of potential but Barcode reader doesnt work for Canadian products. Suggest maybe developers get in contact with my fitness pal app devs, otherwise it is too much work to manually input all the data by hand. Easier to write in a journal.

Use mySugr instead!

Much better, and positive, fun and no ads!

Good but not great.

I love that it shows the carbs and calories I have left for the day and if Ive over indulged. I also love that it gives me snack/meal ideas and recipes. Id like to see the option to track BG in mmol. I have to convert and keep saved as a note right now. Also would like to be able to see things in graph form. Overall its the best app Ive seen so far.

Great Big Help! Keeping all things in order with commutication of support

Potentially 5 star, but zero for support

App is a great idea, but has problems noted by others with disappearing inputted data being a fatal flaw so far as Im concerned. Support seems to be limited to saying that they will fix problems in the next update. Ive stopped using until I see some proof that they actually are fixing anything.
